Bending Rodz is a South African business supplying fishing gear, accessories, bait products, and clothing.

1. Definitions

  • “We”, “us”, “our” refers to Bending Rodz.

  • “You”, “your” refers to any user, purchaser, or visitor to our website.

  • “Products” refers to all items sold by Bending Rodz, including tackle, bait products, fishing apparel and accessories.

2. Legal Capacity

You must be:

  • 18 years or older; or

  • Using the website under the supervision and consent of a parent/guardian.

3. Use of Website

You agree not to use the website for:

  • Any unlawful purpose under South African law.

  • Copying, distributing, or attempting to modify website content without permission.
    We reserve the right to refuse service, block accounts, or cancel orders at our discretion.

4. Product Information & Safety

  • All products, especially bait additives, enhancers, scents or attractants, are intended strictly for fishing purposes only.

  • Not for human or animal consumption.

  • Bending Rodz accepts no liability for misuse of any product contrary to provided instructions.

  • Colours, sizes, and product appearance may vary slightly due to manufacturing and screen display variations.

5. Pricing, Payment & Availability

  • Prices are shown in South African Rand (ZAR) and include VAT where applicable.

  • We reserve the right to update prices at any time.

  • Accepted payment options include Paystack, Payfast, EFT, or any methods listed at checkout.

  • Stock availability is not guaranteed. If an item is unavailable after purchase, you will be notified and refunded.

6. Order Processing & Shipping

6.1 Shipping Areas

We ship nationwide within South Africa via reputable couriers.

6.2 Delivery Timeframes

  • Standard delivery: 2–7 business days, depending on your area.

  • Delays caused by couriers, strikes, extreme weather, or other external factors are outside our control.

6.3 Shipping Fees

Shipping fees are displayed at checkout and are non-refundable unless required by law.

6.4 Risk in Delivery

Once your order has been handed to the courier, the risk transfers to you.
We will assist with tracking and support but cannot be held liable for:

  • Late deliveries

  • Courier damage

  • Lost parcels (although we will assist with claim procedures)

7. Returns, Exchanges & Refund Policy

7.1 General Conditions

You may return products only if:

  • The item is defective, damaged, or incorrect; and

  • Reported within 7 days of receiving the order.

7.2 Items Not Eligible for Return or Refund

  • Clothing with incorrect sizes chosen by the customer (please check size guides carefully).

  • Fishing baits, additives, liquids, powders, or consumable attractants.

  • Items that have been used, damaged, or altered by the customer.

  • Sale/clearance items unless defective.

7.3 Exchange Process

If an exchange is approved:

  • Products must be unused, in original packaging, and in a re-sellable condition.

  • Return courier fees are the customer’s responsibility unless the error was ours.

7.4 Refunds

Refunds are processed:

  • Only for defective products or incorrect items supplied by us.

  • Refunds will be made to the original payment method within 7–10 working days after approval.

  • Shipping fees are non-refundable.

8. Warranty & Liability

8.1 Warranty Exclusions

We do not provide warranties beyond those required by the Consumer Protection Act (CPA) or manufacturer terms.

8.2 Liability Limitation

Bending Rodz is not liable for:

  • Misuse of any product

  • Injury, loss, or damage resulting from fishing activities

  • Products used contrary to instructions

  • Damage caused by negligence or modifications to products

  • Losses arising from website downtime, errors, or security breaches outside our control

Your use of all products is entirely at your own risk.

9. Intellectual Property

All content on the website—including logos, images, product descriptions, and designs—is the intellectual property of Bending Rodz and may not be copied, reproduced, or used without permission.

10. Privacy Policy

We respect your privacy and comply with the POPI Act.
Personal information is collected only for:

  • Processing orders

  • Courier delivery

  • Communication regarding your purchase
    We never share or sell your information to third parties except where required for order fulfilment or by law.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of South Africa. Any disputes will fall under the jurisdiction of South African courts.
